29 February

Leap year! I still have to see the movie by the same title, but here's a peace of trivia for you, straight from the movie: "according to Irish tradition, a man who receives a marriage proposal on a leap day must accept it."

But why does February traditionally have only 28 days? Blame the Romans, Caesar Augustus wanted "his" month to be as long as Julius Caesar's, so he stole a few days from February to make August as long as July.
